Job Summary:
Due to the growth of Standard Chartered Bank, we are looking for an Associate Director, Group Public and Regulatory Affairs to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with GPRA analysis on prioritised regulatory issues and policy developments, crafting messages and developing content to deepen the understanding of key regulatory policies within the Bank environment, and collaborating with colleagues to design and deploy a local engagement plan with the regulatory community. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory institutions and activities in the US, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of fluency on regulatory issues facing a global Bank in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with GPRA analysis on prioritised regulatory issues and policy developments
· Produce briefing for senior stakeholders as required
· Craft messages and develop content to deepen the understanding within the Bank environment of key regulatory policies
· Collaborate with colleagues to design and deploy a local engagement plan with the regulatory community
· Help develop the existing GPRA operating model
· Work with GPRA colleagues to fulfil broader team aims
· Assist coordination of SCB's external engagement strategy with the regulatory policy community
· Represent Standard Chartered at an appropriate level externally on regulatory policy issues
· Work with GPRA colleagues to ensure an integrated view of the regulatory policy making environment
· Work closely with business leads and GPRA colleagues to prepare the Bank's positions on emerging regulatory policy issues
Key Criteria:
· Strong track record in designing and managing regulatory engagement initiatives
· Understanding of regulatory institutions and activities in the US
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to produce briefings, presentations, and speeches for senior management
· Strategic thinking and planning skills
· Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
· Ability to identify emerging regulations that impact the Bank's business strategy
· Proactive and timely identification and dissemination of evolving regulatory changes
· Strong understanding of financial services regulatory environment

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 106,905 USD to 160,358 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package. Discretionary variable pay and a range of attractive bank sponsored benefit programs are available and designed to foster employee overall health and well-being including, but not limited to, a best in class 401k plan with up to 8% employer match, robust medical plan coverage with employer funded Health Savings Accounts, inclusive family building benefits, and flexible / hybrid working arrangements for many of our positions subject to role specific considerations.
