The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Class B CDL vehicle for daily curbside collection of trash and recyclables. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating various types of light and heavy equipment, performing manual physical labor, and assisting with winter snow and ice control during the winter months. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and the general public. Prior experience operating rear-load trash trucks, side-load recycling trucks, and/or roll-off trucks is preferred. Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening. Ability to obtain DOT medical certification. A valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement Starting Pay: $25.0066/hour (Step 1). The full pay range: $25.0066 - $33.6479 per hour, with annual step increases in accordance with the union agreement. This full-time position includes a lucrative benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance and a defined contribution retirement plan. Weekend overtime is often available.
