Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop new chemical formulations and biomaterials for medical applications.
• Design and execute test methods for characterizing biomaterials.
• Perform chemical functionalization and analyze physico-chemical properties using various instrumentation techniques.
• Assess functional performance of materials both in-vitro and in-vivo.
• Plan and conduct scientific experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and resolve experimental challenges proactively.
• Contribute intellectually beyond the immediate field as required.

Experience Required

• Hands-on laboratory experience in chemicals, materials, biomedical, or textiles research.
• Experience with synthetic chemistry techniques (polymers or small molecules).
• Familiarity with materials characterization techniques (rheology, Instron, DSC, GPC, spectroscopic methods).
• Experience with test method development and biomedical polymeric materials.
• Preclinical testing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a dynamic R&D environment.

Skills & Certifications

• Polymer/biomaterial formulation and characterization.
• Materials characterization techniques (rheology, Instron, DSC, GPC, spectroscopy).
• Test method development for biomedical prototypes.
• Experimental design, execution, and result interpretation.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Eligibilities & qualifications

• Ph.D. preferred (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
• Prior experience in medical device R&D is a plus.
