Riggs Companies is offering great career opportunity for a Contracts Administrator/Project Accountant. Favorable candidates will be ambitious, willing to learn, and have a strong attention to detail. This position will work as a member of the Accounting Team to ensure contract and subcontractor compliance on all projects. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Coordinate with Executive, Accounting, and Project Teams to manage project contracts 
  • Ensure contract management process is efficient and effective for all team members
  • Participate in review process, provide guidance internally, and work collaboratively on contract negotiations 
  • Ensure fully executed contracts are obtained on all projects
  • Create and maintain financial job file with all contracts, insurance requirements, and change orders
  • Assist with negotiating business terms and conditions with Vendor Subcontracts / accounts
  • Manage subcontractor compliance with terms of subcontract, insurance, billing accuracy, etc.
  • Assist with the tracking of multiple construction projects from job start to finish including job costs
  • Assist with financial aspects of project close-out
  • Build and maintain client and vendor relationships
  • Perform tracking and recordkeeping 
  • Provide support to Executive, Accounting, and Project Teams
  • Identify and present internal process improvements 
  • Continue education to remain aware of industry changes to contracting laws, regulations and practices
  • Work with Executive Team on special projects
  • Maintain other related documents and records for the company
  • Perform other data entry and administrative tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Has in depth knowledge of Arizona Lien and Prompt Pay Laws.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of contracts and subcontracts as well as their closeout requirements
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Highly Motivated/self-starter who is proactive in addressing challenges 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills 
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
  • High Attention to detail 
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency and ownership of work.
