Our client is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team, with the possibility of living onsite in a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment. This role includes preparing daily meals, hosting private dinners for guests, and creating healthy, wellness-focused cuisine tailored to a diabetic diet. The ideal candidate is highly self-sufficient, organized, and comfortable working independently. Responsibilities: Plan weekly menus and healthy meals for the client and guests - there should always be healthy, fresh food available Shop for groceries and maintain a fully stocked pantry and refrigerator Perform regular checks for expiration dates and eliminate outdated items Prepare healthy meals in advance for the weekends Responsible for keeping the kitchen area clean and organized Consult with caterers for special events hosted at the client's home Assist with additional household duties, including purchasing household supplies, when requested Responsible for the grocery budget Team with other household staff to ensure an efficiently run home with the client's health as a priority Qualifications: Experience cooking or preparing meals for someone with diabetes or other dietary restrictions Familiar with and able to prepare a variety of healthy foods Have a keen interest in nutrition and wellness Prior experience in a similar position with verifiable references Experience organizing a kitchen (having proper kitchen tools and ingredients on hand) Proactive and a self-starter Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable in a dog-friendly home Willing to perform any other duties as may be requested.
