Job Description

The Automotive Detailer assists the service department and is responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles and adhering to the company standards of quality and customer service. The Automotive Detailer utilizes various cleaning tools and supplies (e.g. brushes, vacuums, etc.) to preserve and protect vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs and ensures proper signage is displayed in the vehicle's window.
• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintains vehicle fuel and fills as necessary.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Experience in buffing, waxing, and vehicle care preferred
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)

Education and Experience:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
