City Design Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated and skilled Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our environmental initiatives and projects in St. Louis, MO, and neighboring areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects while contributing to the preservation and enhancement of our natural environment.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Conduct field assessments and surveys to gather data on environmental conditions, including air quality, water quality, soil composition, and biodiversity.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
3. Perform sampling, testing, and analysis of environmental samples using specialized equipment and techniques.
4. Prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings, analysis, and recommendations for environmental management and remediation.
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and stakeholders on environmental issues and best practices.
7. Stay updated on relevant environmental regulations, trends, and advancements in the field to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
8. Demonstrate leadership skills and take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
9. Maintain accurate records of data, observations, and project documentation in accordance with company standards and protocols.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in environmental monitoring, assessment, or related field.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Asbestos Inspectors License or capability to obtain license within the first 60 days of employment
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Leadership skills and capability of taking on responsibilities and managing projects independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
