Job Description

In this position, you will be expected to wear multiple hats, take on projects as they arise, and collaborate with multiple disciplines. Your ability to "go with the flow" and be a self-starter will be critical to your success. The Finance Intern will work Monday through Friday (40 hour week) throughout the summer.
Key Responsibilites - Update financial models for development projects
- Provide financial analysis for leasing requests
- Support finance team in providing project updates to the Executive Committee
- Engage in the pursuit of healthcare development projects with the business development team including understanding the art of the deal and the details in the process from project win to project completion
- Aggregate, analyze, interpret and report on market research trends including economic changes, demographics, transactions, cap rates and lease rates through internal/external sources for the medical office, senior living, and life sciences sectors
- Conduct research and analysis to help evaluate development and investment opportunities
- Provide monthly budget, forecast, dashboard and variance analysis and realted reports as needed
- Produce multiple scenarios through the creation and presentation of financial business plans including a full set of financial statements
- Conduct financial research, analyze financial performance against objectives, and determine emerging financial trends
- Build and present robust Excel models consisting of numerous individual and consolidating development projects, acquisition properties, varying real estate and operating business lines, differing forms of fee revenue and overhead, promoted profits interests and cash flows, lines of credit and equity issuances, etc.
- Ad hoc and special projects as needed
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise Education:
- In process undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, or Business - Required
- High school diploma - Required
Work Experience:
- 1+ years experience ability to calculate proforma outputs such as IRR, NOI, and DSCR - Preferred
Skills:

- Aptitude in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
