Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant for our esteemed client to join their dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assists recruitment team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Conducts employment related research and assists recruitment leader with electronic and other methods of sourcing of qualified candidates.
  • Refers appropriate candidates to recruiter and/or hiring supervisor.
  • Represents and promotes organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
  • Conduct onboarding for all new hires to include pre-employment screenings, background check, payroll set-up, I-9 verification, and benefit enrollment.
  • Responsible for daily management of related records maintenance, both physical and digital.
  • Ensure staff needs are met with accurate and timely responses.
  • Understand priorities with the right sense of urgency and importance.
  • Take initiative and holds self-accountable.
  • Provide help to others and act as a dependable resource.
  • Provide helpful team support to assure effective team-needs delivery and task execution
  • Active and effective listening to enable accurate and timely acknowledgement of and response to questions and issues raised for resolution.
  • Employment verifications, wage and unemployment requests, garnishments, levies, and other general requests.
  • Understand both verbal and non-verbal communications, i.e., the underlying attitudes and feelings behind the words.

Skills required:

  • Someone with 4-5 years of recruiting/HR assistant experience
  • Someone who can take initiative
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and the ability to relate to others
  • Curious personality who can ask questions and delegate when needed
  • Knowledge of interviewing questions and techniques.
