This position is responsible for assisting with all functions in the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Mail Center. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): - Collect mail from the Post Office and all Hershey Entertainment & Resort properties including Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, Entertainment Venues, Resorts properties, and Corporate Office locations.
- Safely operate a company vehicle, including vans and larger SUVs, to perform daily mail runs. Report any vehicle fleet maintenance/operational concerns to supervisor.
- Receive and sort the mail in the Mail Center including sorting by property, by department, and/or by receiver.
- Make deliveries to all properties and pick up any mail to return to the Mail Center.
- Process outgoing mail utilizing the postage machine, the insert mailing machine, and other commercial postal equipment.
- Process outgoing packages using USPS, UPS, or FedEx shipping portals.
- Maintain a tracking log for expenses, department requests, department mailings, etc. for accurate reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid PA Driver's License
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, have good eye contact, and organizational skills
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
- Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
- Must be self-motivated and take initiative to complete projects without instruction to do so, take direction well
- Must be able to work individually and in a group setting
- Must be comfortable working on a computer and be able to adapt to various mailing machines
Job Demands: - Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes 15 hours per week
- Standing is required for 60% of shift, this will vary
- Physical requirements include lifting, standing, bending, sitting, walking, and communicating with fellow employees and outside vendors
- Must be comfortable driving and delivering mail in all types of weather conditions (This will be monitored as it happens)
