Media Planner/Buyer

We are helping a growing advertising agency in Tampa, Trickey Jennus, with their search for an experienced Media Planner/Buyer to join their team.

The Media Planner/Buyer is responsible for the successful development, implementation, management and reporting of client media plans including research, execution and reconciliation. The role requires working with clients, budgets, deadlines and accurately reporting performance. They will be in direct contact with clients and media partners.

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates must have the following skills or qualifications, including but not limited to:

• 2-3 years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferably Marketing or Advertising
• Detail-oriented; strong ability to work independently; initiative-taking; problem-solver
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task on several projects at once
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Hands-on experience creating and implementing media plans (traditional and digital)
• Thorough understanding of traditional media and paid digital media
• Data-driven and analytical mind to analyze and summarize audience and performance data
• Strong quantitative analysis skills
• Eager learner of processes, trends, and tools
• Understanding of/experience with BI/data visualization tools

Responsibilities:

• Utilize media research tools and resources to develop strategic recommendations based on the target demographic and their media consumption habits
• Evaluate media opportunities and provide thorough analysis
• Able to present strategies with clear rationale to internal and external audiences
• Maintain good working relationship with clients and media partners
• Develop media plans including both traditional and digital media (ex: TV, Print, OOH, Digital, Social, Google Search, OTT, etc.) to achieve client objectives
• Media plan execution including negotiation, insertion orders, creative deadlines, billing, make goods, reconciliation and optimizations
• Oversee media plans and track delivery (ex: GRPs, impressions, tear sheets, sponsorships and integrations)
• Analyze campaign performance and implement changes and optimizations
• Assists with financial reporting including remedying discrepancies
• Monthly reporting
• Summarize analytical data into user-friendly reports for traditional and digital media using BI/data visualization tools (training to be provided)
