Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This role will involve managing the billing process for personal injury claims, ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical bills, and coordinating with healthcare providers and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical billing claims for personal injury cases.
• Verify and ensure accuracy of medical codes and billing information.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and insurance adjusters.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of billing activities and communications.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure all medical documentation is accurate and complete.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist, preferably in a law firm or related field.
• Knowledge of personal injury law and medical billing procedures.
• Proficient in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
