Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll for employees accurately and timely. This role involves calculating wages based on hours worked and administering payments, deductions, and adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and possess excellent numerical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Compute wages and deductions based on employees' timesheets and attendance records.
• Process payroll transactions accurately and promptly.
• Verify and reconcile payroll data, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
• Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Maintain payroll records and reports in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
• Familiarity with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPP) is a plus.
