Job Description

Our client, Food Science and Innovation is seeking a USA - R&D Research Scientist to join their team. As a USA - R&D Research Scientist, you will be part of the Research & Development department supporting regional innovation and product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for food science, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: USA - R&D Research Scientist

Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Pay Range: $48hr

What's the Job?

• Design and implement sensory and consumer research to uncover actionable insights for product development.
• Develop and execute consumer technical test plans, including sensory and packaging testing, to identify targets for superior products.
• Analyze sensory and operator data to derive key consumer insights and inform product innovation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, R&D, and legal to support product claims and technical storytelling.
• Support claims strategy through conducting workshops, testing, and creating compelling narratives that highlight product superiority.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of a BS or MS degree in food science, sensory science, nutrition, psychology, or related scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in consumer, sensory, or product research, preferably within the food or B2B sector.
• Strong knowledge of sensory science, consumer insights, and data interpretation with statistical proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey insights to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
