Job Description

The Century Group is working with a company who is seeking a Senior Accountant for an onsite role in Downtown, LA. The successful candidate will have experience in both Accounting Operations and Payroll Administration. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $50 to $55 per hour.
Accounting Operations:

• Work closely with the Controller to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial statements and management reports
• Review and analyze general ledger balances, accounting entries, and account reconciliations
• Manage the monthly/quarterly financial close process to ensure proper recording of all transactions
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and ensuring high performance and accountability
• Assist auditors during year-end and interim financial audits/reviews

• Coordinate weekly payroll data and prepare overall payroll submission to the outsourced provider
• Review and recommend improvements to current payroll processes and systems
• Monitor tax setups, compliance filing, and reporting requirements
• Complete employment verifications in a timely manner
• Assist with annual audits as appropriate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting and payroll administration
• Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and motivate staff
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels
