Job Details ~ WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE TEAM ~
● 2+ years of related experience
● Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ) preferred.
● Extensive experience in interior design, with a proven portfolio of successful Hospitality projects.
● Proficiency in interior design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Fohlio, Adobe Creative Suite etc).
● Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred
● Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● In-depth knowledge of National Hotel Brand requirements
● Growth Mindset with a desire to be part of a growing company by supporting a production-environment design process.

● Solve complex design problems through all design phases - Concept, SD, DD, CD & CA
Client Interaction:
● Work closely with clients to understand their goals, requirements, and preferences.
● Provide design leadership and direction for projects, ensuring that design deliverables meet client expectations and Brand design standards. This includes the project from Concept to Construction Drawings and details (ex: shop drawings).
● Lead the development of design concepts, incorporating innovative and creative solutions when applicable. Many of our projects are ‘prototypical’ from the Brand (Hilton, Marriot, IHG, etc,) therefore the ‘program’ and concept already exists with options.
Space Planning:
● Develop and optimize interior layouts to enhance functionality and aesthetics. This is a large portion of the Interior Design responsibilities within our Renovation or Conversion Projects.
Material and Finish Selection:
● Choose materials, colors, finishes, furnishings, and accessories that align with the Brand and Client's vision and budget.
● Manage and Execute multiple projects, including management of overall design timeline, spec writing, and RFQ process for selected Design materials and FF&E.
● Primary Point of Contact for the Client and Brand-Representative during the Design-phase of the project.
● Ensure projects are completed in alignment with brand-provided scope, on time, and within established budget.
● Report Weekly to the Design Department Manager the status of each project.
● Collaborate with Architects or Engineers if Design-assist activities are necessary depending on scope of the project.
● Collaborate with the in-house Construction Project Manager, Superintendent, and Purchasing department to bring the Project Design to life.
● Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced Designers, Architectural / Cad Technicians who support with Drafting, Spec Writing, and FF&E RFQ’s, when applicable. This includes QA/QC of the work which they may execute in support of your project as the designated Lead-Designer.
● Keep up with the latest Brand standard requirements (Hilton, Marriot, IHG, etc) and trends in the industry.
Code and Regulation Compliance:
● Ensure that design plans meet local building codes and regulations (Ex: ADA).
