Shift: 8-Hour Mid Shift (2:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday)

Job Description: We are seeking a certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience, demonstrate high attention to detail, and possess current certifications required for this role.
You will perform decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include working in multiple areas of the department, supporting the hospital’s surgical and clinical teams, and ensuring proper handling and sterilization of medical supplies.
Responsibilities
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Maintain sterilization records and logs in compliance with regulatory standards.
Respond to emergency and routine equipment needs during surgical procedures.
Maintain proper inventory of sterile supplies.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing – Required
Current Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician – Required
CRCST certification from IAHCSMM – Required
High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
Must live 100+ miles from facility
