Job Description

You will have direct impact and ownership of the end-to-end experience our global Payroll experience. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, business partners, and as you lead the discovery, definition, design, and delivery of large scale, complex, and ambiguous initiatives. You will facilitate cross-functional design thinking sessions, presenting to stakeholders and leadership, and oversee the quality of in-progress development through to final launch and beyond.
As the ideal candidate you are a design thinker and experience architect who sees around corners to create a cohesive vision across our Payroll portfolio to deliver a unified customer experience. You see patterns and connect dots that identify opportunities for systemic enhancements. You are a self-starter who thrives on ambiguity and is comfortable wearing many hats and are able to adapt to new information and develop solutions to the customer experience iteratively, for fast and incremental deliveries to our customer, but with direction towards a future vision.

Key job responsibilities
• Establish and lead high quality experiences throughout the discovery, insights and experience architecture documentation, design execution, and quality assurance processes
• Lead UX workshops to influence and facilitate co-design methodology in collaboration with UX and business partners
• Conduct UX research efforts to better understand the needs of our customers and validate product hypothesis
• Use both quantitative and qualitative feedback to measure and improve your designs
• Create design briefs, strategies, proposals, and executive summaries as needed to keep the product team and leadership team informed of design opportunities and design progress
• Lead cross-functional design reviews for input and sign-off on design artifacts
• Deliver design assets, (mocks, product screen flows, user guidelines/explainers, etc.), clarification and consultation as needed to engineers when UX features are being developed

A day in the life
As a UX lead on the team, you’ll be a stakeholder in a portfolio of products that deliver powerful business impact and customer delight. You’d focus primarily on the solutions that support the Payroll organization. You’d be responsible for intimately understanding the breadth of touch points across our entire service offering.
You will collaborate with Payroll members worldwide to craft beautiful and usable customer experiences at scale. Leveraging analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings, you will create designs that address your customers' problems at their level of need.

The FinAuto UX team is comprised of passionate researchers and designers who drive creative and technical innovation to drastically improve the experience of Amazon employees across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Payroll, Global Real Estate & Facilities and Global Corporate Procurement. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar design-related role experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
